The Just VS The Wicked
I have been reading a Proverb every day in accordance to the day of the month since July 2010. My prayer is that if I continue to meditate daily on God's wisdom that I will be able to grow in knowledge and understanding to bring honor and glory to God.
Today I read Proverbs 10. It appears as if this chapter compares and contrasts the differences between a just person and a wicked person. I decided to look up definitions for both words. According to Blueletterbible.org, "just"= lawful, righteous, in conduct, in character, justified and vindicated by God, correct, right. "wicked"= criminal, guilty one, one guilty of crime, wicked (hostile to God), guilty of sin (against God or man).
I made a list of differences/promises of God's word according to the two character categories.
The Just:
Blessings
Well of life
Words are valuable
Nourish others
Desires will be granted
Stand firm forever
Adds to length of life
Joy
Bring Forth Wisdom
The Wicked:
Violence
Name will rot
Ruin
Cause grief
Punishment
Little value
Death due to lack of judgment
Fears will overtake
Will not stand firm
Length of life will be cut short
No hope
When I read verses such as this, I can see how I can be a just person as well as a wicked person. My desire is that with the help and grace of God that he will work in me to increase the just side and decrease the wickedness in my heart. I thank God that he has given us scripture to be able to recognize when we are acting just or wicked.
What type of person are you? What type of person do you want to be? Most importantly, what type of person does God want you to be? Ask Him.

Day One
The purpose of this blog is to capture God's work on a daily basis in my life. This blog is in memory and honor of our Heavenly Father and the Son Jesus Christ. May the blessings and trials in my life be a blessing for you. God bless you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. [Psalm 145:11-12]
